Using both traditional and modern clay techniques, Nina handcrafts each of her pieces to be used decoratively and/or functional. She takes all of her inspiration from the countryside she grew up in and the sea she lives beside in Kent, regularly focusing in on telling the stories of marine life and conservation subjects.
She runs small group workshops from her studio, inspiring each of her visitors to use their imagination with each piece they craft.
Nina studied BA (Hons) Illustration and Animation at The University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, graduating in 2018. She has recently been awarded a scholarship to attend Edinburgh College of Art to study an MA in Illustration this year, and will continue her passion for clay and storytelling.
